Diego Quezada

Harmonica Classes

Diego Quezada teaches diatonic and chromatic harmonica at the Shine School of Music in Barcelona.

A musician and visual artist born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he studied singing, piano, guitar, and harmonica, with a particular focus on both diatonic and chromatic harmonica, developing a solid technique and a personal style. He trained with respected teachers including Magdalena León (singing), Walter Gandini and Federico Linares (diatonic harmonica), and Daniel Chappet, Santiago Álvarez, and Nahuel Perkal (chromatic harmonica for tango).

With over 20 years of professional experience, Diego has worked across genres such as rock, blues, ska, reggae, jazz, and tango. He has performed as a session musician in numerous groups, taken part in studio recordings throughout Argentina, and released three albums with his own bands. Now based in Barcelona, he leads the tango duo Nunca Taxi, performing regularly at Tinta Roja, and is also a member of Blues Argento Company, active on the city’s blues and jazz circuit.

His lessons are personalised and suitable for all levels, from beginners to advanced players, combining theory and practice to build technique and musical understanding.

Classes cover a wide range of styles including blues, jazz, gypsy, jazz manouche, country, and tango, and are adapted to each student’s goals, whether playing solo, accompanying others, or specialising in a particular style.
