Sara Baccega teaches piano (classical, modern and jazz) at Shine Music School in Barcelona.
A creative and passionate musician and piano teacher from Italy, Sara began studying music at the age of seven. In 2017 she graduated in Classical Piano from the Conservatorio “A. Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy, with top marks.
Over the course of her career she has attended piano and chamber music masterclasses with Jerome Rose, Nora Doallo, Filippo Gamba and the Quartetto Klimt, among others. She has won prizes at national and international competitions as a pianist and as a chamber musician, and has been selected to perform at music festivals in Italy such as the Livorno Music Festival and the Ca’ Riviera Music Festival. She stands out for her expressiveness and interpretive sensitivity.
Her meeting with Maestro Achille Gallo in 2014 was fundamental: through him she came into contact with the teachings and the piano-teaching tradition of the great pedagogues Fausto Zadra, Vicente Scaramuzza and Carlo Zecchi.
She began teaching piano in 2016, giving private lessons and working at music schools in Italy. Since arriving in Barcelona in 2023 she has worked as a piano accompanist at auditions for competitions and exams, and as a piano teacher at several music schools, including Escola de Música Virginia Blanch and Academia de Música Casa Sors.
Alongside her classical background, she continues to explore and study modern music and jazz. Her artistic interests also extend to the accordion, and she has trained in illustration.
Sara has taught many students of different ages and levels, helping them build confidence on stage, with good results in concerts and public performances. Drawing on her experience and her sensitivity as a teacher, she combines technical rigour with close, personalised support for each student’s musical development.
